Description

This is our third 360Giving Data Surgery and we’ll be looking at geography and ways to share useful information about places, including:

  • Place names, postcodes, geocodes, latitude and longitude - there are many ways to describe a location in data. We’ll explore the terminology and showcase some examples.

  • Recipient location vs area of benefit - what are the issues when the funded organisation is based in one place but the activity is taking place somewhere else?

  • My data journey - a grantmaker will outline how they share information about the places they fund, with an opportunity to learn about resources to support the publication of geographic data.

These sessions are designed to be interactive with plenty of time for questions and discussion in groups. So please come with your questions and ideas, and we provide an opportunity to get practical advice and support, share your top tips or challenges and meet with peers.

We look forward to seeing you there.
